An essential introduction to how we work as a team, covering roles, procedures, and kit, while helping you build a connection with the team.

CORE MEDICAL SKILLS

Build confidence in emergency first aid, learning how to assess and manage casualties challenging search environments.

MISPER BEHAVIOUR

Explore how different types of missing people behave and how this shapes an informed, targeted search strategies.

NAVIGATION

A nationally recognised course that equips you to navigate effectively using maps, compasses, and practical techniques in wooded areas .

ONLINE ESSENTIALS

Complete essential learning in safeguarding, manual handling, GDPR, health and safety and neurodiversity awareness to support others.

CORE COMMS SKILLS

Building confidence in using radios, briefings and debriefings, interviewing techniques – all critical for clear, effective and safe operations.

CORE SEARCH SKILLS

The foundation of everything we do. Learn the techniques and proactices that guidehow we work across different search areas.

ADVANCED SKILLS

Develop capability with vital tools like clue detection, mental health awareness and crime scene management to support searches.

SEARCH NAVIGATION

Refine your ability to navigate live search environments, using maps, terrain awareness and applications like Outdoor Active.

RIVER BANK SEARCH

Train to search safely right up to the edge of rivers, lakes and canals, including different rescue techniques to use from land.

Our assessment is designed to ensure you’re confident, capable, and ready to deploy. Through practical exercises and team assessments, you’ll demonstrate everything you've learned in real-world scenarios.

OPERATIONAL EXERCISE

Work amongst our experienced team members deployed during a simulated search to build confience and consolidate learning so far.

ASSESSMENT DAY

Our chance assess Search Technicnans alongside the full team deployment, so we main confidence in our professionalism.

PROBATION

Gives you the support you need in your first year to ensure you can deploy confidently, integrate into the team and continue to learn.
